Back in 1997/8 we opened a night club in Leicester called Club City.
Being fans of Northern Soul and Punk this is what we wanted to play, aiming for the older audience.
After a year with hardly anyone through the door we met two guys from Birmingham who asked us to do a dance night. We agreed and Forbidden was born. again, we struggled for about a year and the two guys were about to give up on it. we persuaded them to have one last go, we had posters printed and we plastered them everywhere.

On the Friday we had 100 people through the door and within the next six months we had two thousand members! We both now love the music and don't listen to anything else. We hope we can offer you a safe and welcoming environment and look forward to your feedback.
